    Digital Citizenship

    Digital media and technology are evolving at a rapid pace, both opening up extraordinary opportunities and posing real risks for young people.  Students are using the power of the internet to explore, learn, connect, and create in ways never before imagined- both in and out of the classroom.  However, issues that emerge from this constant “connected culture” are important to address.     Lighthouse FoodsParents can register their children online for the 2018-19 OUSD school lunch and breakfast programs.  The national program provides meals at a reduced cost; eligible students with an approved free or reduced status may receive meals at no cost.  Click Online Meal Registration to get started.

    PICK UP PROCEDURES
    School is dismissed at 1:15pm on Mondays and at 2:15pm on Tuesday through Friday. Students may not be checked out of school after 1:00pm on Mondays, and after 2:00pm Tuesday - Friday. 

    Coffee with the Principal

    Once a month, on the second Wednesday, from 9:00 - 11:00am, Mrs. Morgan will host any interested parents for coffee! During the visit, parents will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the amazing work that happens here at Chavez Middle School. This is a great time to visit classrooms, explore our facilities, and most importantly, see what your child experiences every day.

The Request Form is below in our NEWS section for you to download and print.
